Low. Long leaders. Midges, smaller caddis and terrestrials.
Located in Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania, Yellow Breeches is probably the most poplar trout stream in the south central part of the state. The upper end of Yellow Breeches, around the Route 223 Bridge is small, approximately 20-feet wide in most spots. As the water flows to the east it grows in width and flow with the help of some natural springs. The upper portion can be accessed by the secondary roads that lead off of Route 174. This section of water, down to the Route 34 Bridge, stays the coolest most of the year, except for the area where the "Run" dumps into Yellow Breeches at the beginning of the regulations area.
Catch and release, 1 mile, from Boiling Springs downstream to the lower Allenberry Playhouse property.
